Numerical Simulation for Optimization of Ultra-thin n-type AZO and TiO2 Based Textured p-type c-Si Heterojunction Solar Cells

A maximum efficiency of 17 % for ultra-thin n-type AZO layer and 17.5 TiO2 based silicon heterojunction solar cell is reported by optimizing its properties which much higher than practically obtained signifying a lot improvements can be performed to improve TiO2/Si AZO/Si cell. used as emitter crystalline wafer p-type (p-cSi) modelling heterojunctions respectively using AFORS HET automat simulation software. Various parameters like thickness AZO, layer, p-cSi doping concentration donors (Nd) effective conduction band density (Nc) are optimized. Finally, texturing at different angle studied 70 μm thick Silicon wafer, that very helpful manufacturing low cost HJ cells industrial scale because thin removal additional processing setup required deposition amorphous i-layer. Utilization Aluminium doped Zinc Oxide help in producing efficient (HJ) compared with intrinsic HIT cells.
